Xi Basket — Loading

CAUTION — Instrument Care

l

ALWAYS confirm compatibility with the instrument manufacturer.

l

ALWAYS follow the manufacturer instructions if processing instruments
with special characteristics, e.g. fiber optics or rigid optics.

l

ALWAYS follow the manufacturer instructions when processing
instruments.

l

ALWAYS open box-jointed instruments.

l

ALWAYS disassemble instruments that are designed to be taken apart.

1.

The instrument tips should be open to allow for cleaning of all surfaces.

2.

Inspect basket hoses before loading. Make sure
all hoses and connectors are in good condition.
If any hose is showing signs of kink or damage it
should be replaced.

3.

Holding the instrument with the body flush ports
facing up, place it into aligned slots in the
basket support. The body of the instrument
should line up with two securing lugs on the
basket support.

4.

ALWAYS use basket slots that line up. NEVER attempt to place the instrument at
an angle across the basket.
