6.5.5 Si Multi Basket — Loading Stapler Instruments

ALWAYS confirm compatibility with the instrument manufacturer.
l
ALWAYS follow the manufacturer instructions if processing instruments
with special characteristics, e.g. fiber optics or rigid optics.
l
ALWAYS follow the manufacturer instructions when processing
instruments.
l
ALWAYS open box-jointed instruments.
l
ALWAYS disassemble instruments that are designed to be taken apart.
This procedure describes the loading of Si stapler instruments only. For loading of
other types of Si instruments see
Si Multi Basket — Loading Instruments with Shaft
Flush Port on page 64 and Si Multi Basket — Loading Instruments without
Adapters on page 62.
1. The basket should be already be fitted with nozzles. See Si Multi Basket —
Attaching and Detaching Nozzles on page 61.
2. The instrument tip should be open to allow for cleaning of all surfaces.
3. Stapler instrument require connection to a
stapler flush adapter, indicated by '
B ' in the
image below.
4. Inspect the stapler flush adapter. Make sure
that the hose is NOT ruptured and that the
adapter ring and nozzle are NOT damaged.
