4.5 Priming Chemical Pumps
The sonic irrigator has two chemical pumps: one pump delivers detergent from the
detergent bottle into the tank, the other delivers lubricant (if connected and required
by wash program) into the tank. Priming the chemical pumps prevents cross-
contamination when changing chemical bottles, and ensures correct dosage of
chemicals.
The chemical pumps should be primed in the following situations:

Before the first wash cycle.
l
Every time a chemical bottle is changed.
l
If a chemical pickup is removed from a chemical bottle for any reason. The
chemical pickup must be fully inserted in a full chemical bottle before attempting
chemical pump priming.
4.5.1 Detergent Pump Priming
1. Make sure the detergent pickup is fully inserted into and reaches to the bottom of
the detergent bottle.
2. On the display, from the main menu, touch
repeatedly on or until the carrier screen
is shown.
3. Touch continuously on until the carrier is
fully open.
4. Inside the tank, identify the detergent delivery
port. The detergent delivery port is on the left
side of the tank, as indicated by '
A ' in the image.
