5.5 Modbus communications

5.5.1 Applicable flowmeter models

Spirax Sarco RIM20 Mass flowmeters with Modbus communication protocol and firmware

version 4.00.58 and above.

5.5.2 Overview

This document describes the preliminary implementation of the Modbus communication

protocol for use in monitoring common process variables in the Spirax Sarco RIM20 rotor

insertion flowmeter. The physical layer utilizes the half-duplex RS-485 port, and the Modbus

protocol.

5.5.3 Reference documents
