Detection sensor: Paper sensor or ribbon mark sensor

The remaining ribbon of IC tag information became zero (0)

The cue mark of ink ribbon cannot be detected.

The paper sensor cannot detect the printing paper during paper transport.
Possible cause: 1. Printing paper or ink ribbon was used up.
2. The ribbon mark sensor is dirty.
3. The paper sensor or harness is defective. (SE-929 board)

4. The ribbon mark sensor or the related harness is defective. (LE-352 board, SE-934
board) (Refer to “4-6. Sensor Detection”.)
5. Since the takeup motor or driving block is defective, a ribbon cannot be wound or
the winding speed is slow. (SU-137 board)
(Refer to “4-2. Motor Control”.)

ERROR LOG display: TAG RW ERROR

An inadequate data is detected in the IC tag information.

The security check of the IC tag is NG.
Possible cause: 1. A ribbon for the different model is installed in this unit.
2. The IC tag is defective.
3. A ribbon is not installed correctly.
4. IC tag contact mechanical block is defective.
5. IC tag sensor or the related harness is defective. (CN-3048 board)

ERROR LOG display: TAG RW ERROR
Detection sensor: IC tag sensor
Contents: When updating the remaining amount of ribbon, the IC tag information cannot be
read or written correctly.
Possible cause: 1. The IC tag is defective.
2. A ribbon is not installed correctly.
3. IC tag contact mechanical block is defective.
4. IC tag sensor or the related harness is defective. (CN-3048 board)
