1-6-15. Pinch Roller

When replacing the platen roller, capstan roller or pinch
roller, be extremely careful not to touch it with bare
hands or dirty gloves. In case that the foreign object such
as paper fiber or oil clings to the roller, wipe it with ethyl
alcohol. Also, perform the cleaning periodically. (Refer
to Section 1-7.)

When replacing the LE-352 board, be sure to check
Section 2-2.
1. Remove the cabinet. (Refer to Section 1-4.)
2. Remove the ribbon door assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-1.)
3. Remove the paper door assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-2.)
4. Remove the paper holder (main) assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-3.)
5. Remove the cutter unit. (Refer to Section 1-6-5.)
6. Remove the supply drive assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-7.)
7. Remove the takeup drive assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-8.)
8. Remove the paper eject guide assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-9.)
9. Remove the paper holder stay assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-10.)
10. Remove the vertical guide assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-6-11.)
11. Remove the stepping motor.
(Refer to Section 1-6-16.)
12. Disconnect the harness from the connector (CN411)
on the LE-352 board.
13. Remove the two screws, then remove the ribbon
sensor stay assembly.
14. Remove the screw, then remove the ribbon sensor
cover (A) and LE-352 board.
15. Remove the two helical extension springs and two
spacers.
16. Remove the two snap rings, then remove the pinch
roller assembly in the direction of the arrow.
17. Remove the two snap rings, two bearing flanges (7),
two ball bearings, pinch arm (L) and pinch arm (R)
subassembly, then remove the pinch roller.
18. Attach the pinch roller in the reverse order of steps 1
to 17.
