Maintenance
The Maintenance pane allows the you to enter a new Lamp
Serial Code, select a Test Pattern to be shown on the
screen, and initiate the Luminance calibration process.
CAUTION:
When replacing/handling the lamp observe
manufacturer’s recommendations and procedures. Xenon
arc lamps could burst when not in operation causing
serious injuries! It is critical to follow safety instructions
when handling Xenon arc lamps.
Some projector setup and maintenance operations use the
SRX Controller
1
application. An example would be; Lamp
Replacement, setting of FUNCTION names, and
associating a specific Color Space with a FUNCTION.
There are 20 FUNCTION storage spaces available in the
SRX-R220 projector. When the FUNCTION is saved
using the SRX Controller the FUNCTION can be named.
The “name” should be as clear as possible in the first few
characters to allow easy identification from the
FUNCTION label. The SRX Controller is a stand alone
software application that allows a computer to directly
control the SRX-R220 via the serial connection located on
the rear panel of the projector just below the circuit
breakers. When adjustments are made using the SRX
Controller the changes and settings are
not
automatically
transferred to the SMS Server and therefore, do not appear
on the Projectionist Terminal or the SMS Controller
screens. A REFRESH function is available which causes
the SMS Server to query the Projector and make the
refreshed data available to the Projectionist Terminal and
SMS Controller screens.
Settings available on the
Maintenance screen apply
globally to the projector
and, unlike Functions,
cannot be changed based
on the Show.
Making changes to
settings found on the
Maintenance screen
should be done with care
as these can effect the
Lamp Power range, cause
the brightness of the
image to change
(Calibrate Luminance)
and, if a Test Pattern is
selected, interrupt the
presentation.
1.The SRX Controller exercises direct control over
the projector and therefore should not be used at the
same time the Projectionist Terminal or SMS Control-
ler is in operation.
