illumination. The outputs the two lamps is combined into

A/B mode is provided to accommodate situations where
the screen image may be too dim due to screen size, e.g.,
wide-screen image, or when the content requires
additional illumination.

Auto Lamp Mode
In Auto Lamp mode a single lamp is used as the source of
illumination. However, the lamp selection is made by the
projector when the projector is switched from STANDBY
to ON. Either of the two lamps will be selected for
illumination with the determination made by the projector
based on which lamp has the most operating hours
remaining.
To select Auto Lamp mode operation where the projector
determines which lamp acts as the illuminating source
(Auto), tap
Menu
, tap
Maintenance
, and then tap
Auto
.
Lamp selection is done by the projector using the
remaining hours for each lamp. The selection is done at the
time the system operating mode is changed from
STANDBY to ON.
Lamp Hours/Reset
Each lamp has an associated timer (and Reset) to allow
tracking of hours of usage following lamp replacement.
Lamp usage must be monitored to insure the quality of the
projected image as the spectral content of the lamp will
change over its useful life with a more rapid change after
the recommended usable hours have been exceeded.
Caution:
The risk of lamp explosion increases when the
lamp is used beyond its maximum number of hours. For
this reason, it is important to observe the manufacturer's
recommended operating life limits.
For information related to the recommended maximum
number of useable hours for the lamp refer to the lamp
specification document.
To Reset the individual Lamp Hours Timers, tap
Menu
,
tap
Maintenance
, and then tap
Reset Timer
in either the
Lamp A
or
Lamp B
group. The Hours shown for Lamp A
or Lamp B are hours of operation since the most recent
