Projector Control
Basic control of selected Projector system functions are
available from the Projectionist Terminal. In the R220
based system, reference to the “Projector” includes only
the projector portion of the Auditorium Unit. When the
Projector is in STANDBY various subsystems of the
auditorium unit are still operational. To place the
Auditorium Unit in Standby or to Shutdown the
Auditorium Unit refer to
“Power ON/OFF” on page 46
.
Note:
When the Projector is in STANDBY mode the
system remains active and accessible via either the
Projectionist Terminal or the SMS Controller application.
When the Auditorium Unit is Shutdown only the
Projectionist Terminal remains active so Power ON can be
realized.
Projector System
Controls are available on
the Projector Control
pane. To access the
Projector Control pane,
tap
Menu
and then tap
Projector Control
. The
PROJECTOR
CONTROL pane appears.
From the PROJECTOR
CONTROL pane you can
place the Projector system
in STANDBY, return it to
ON (operational mode),
turn off the LAMP,
DOUSE the image output,
recall a preset
configuration, and adjust
the Luminance Offset applied to the current presentation
from the Digital Cinema projection system.
Set Projector to ON/STANDBY
Using the STANDBY function insures that various
components of the Projector will shutdown in a orderly
manner and fans will continue to run so proper cooling of
the Projector is insured during the process.
• Set Projector To ON
To place the Projector in the ON mode, tap
Menu
, tap
Projector Control
and then in the Power group tap
ON
. The system will transition from STANDBY
mode to ON mode and the projection lamp will be
illuminated.
While the system will be available for operation in
approximately 10 minutes optimum image
presentation will not be realized for a minimum of 30
minutes. This additional time is required to allow the
imaging panels and projector lamps to achieve
operating temperature and stabilize.
• Set Projector To STANDBY
To place the Projector in STANDBY mode, on the
Projectionist Terminal tap
Menu
, tap
Projector
Control
and then, in the Power group, tap
STANDBY
. You will be prompted to confirm the
action. Tap
YES
to confirm.
The system will transition from an operational mode to
STANDBY. This includes Internal fans will continue
to run until the lamp and lamp assembly has cooled.
Set Projector LAMP OFF/ON
To turn the Projector Lamp OFF the
Projector must be in the ON mode. Tap
Menu
, tap
Projector Control
and then in
the Power group tap
LAMP OFF
. The
Lamp OFF button goes dark (as shown to the right) but
the Projector remains ON as indicated by the ON
button remaining illuminated. (See inset in the above
illustration.) Temperature stabilization remains
applied to the imaging panels when the LAMP OFF
feature is used in place of setting the Projector to
STANDBY.
To return the Lamp to ON, simply tap
ON
. While the
system will be available for operation immediately,
optimum image presentation will not be realized for a
