3-5. AUDIO SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT
Connection
of
audio measurement equipment:
Connect as shown below when inputting audio signal to
MIC connector.
MD- 10 board
Refer to the Service Manual for the playback equipment
when measuring using playback equipment.
Adjustment Order
1 ) AFM Carrier Frequency Adj ustmnt
2) Carrier Level Check
3 ) Deviation Adjustment
4) Noise Level Check
5 ) Frequency Response Check
6) AGC Check
7) Distortion Check

Turn RV40 1 on the AU- 1 6 board
and a�u� to 1 5 07 ±2 kHz.

Check that the signal level is 1 20

3-5-3. Deviation Adjustment
Adjustment Procedure:
1 ) Play back the reference tape (WR5-3NS) on playback
equipment (EV-A300, EV-S700, etc.) and measure
AU DIO OUT level (S d B).
2 ) Input 4 0 0 H z - 6 6 dB to CCD-M8/M8u M I C connector
pin

(white) and record for more than 1 0 seconds.
3 ) Play back the p ortion recorded in step 2 ) on playback
equipment and confirm that the AUDIO OUT level is
S ± 1 dB.
4) If the specifications are not met, adjust according to
the following.
i )
I f level is smaller than S - 1 d B :
Turn RV402 on the AU- 1 6 board counterclock
wise and adjust so that the specifications are met
by repeating steps 2) and 3 ).
ii) If level is larger than S
+
1 d B :
Turn RV402 on the AU- 1 6 board clockwise and
adjust so that the specifications are met by re
peating steps 2) and 3 ).
