MONITOR
select button

and short-circuit

board.
Connect
to

Set the oscilloscope
in the EXT. HORIZONTAL
mode
so that the Lissajous figures can be seen on the scope.
Play back
audio 3
segment
of
alignment
and adjust
R V 1
and
the
AU-27 board so that AUDIO-I,
2 meters show
VU.
Adjust the scope so that the amplitude
of the audio-I
channel and the audio-2 channel is 6 em.
Check that the phase difference
between
the audio-l
channel
the

If the specified
value is not obtained,
perform
the
following adjustment.

Loosen the azimuth
adjustment
screw B and adjust by
screw A so that
difference
is obtained.
Slightly
turn screw
clockwise
and then
adjust
by turning
screw A so that the specified
phase
difference
is obtained.
Repeat the same procedure
until
both screws are tightened
completely
and finally check
that the specified
is obtained.
The screws should
a torque
of 6 to 8 kg-ern,

Play back the audio 15 kHz segmen t of the alignment
tape and adjust
the scope
so that
the amplitude
of
the audio-I
channel
and
audio- 2 channel
cm.
Check that
difference

channel
and the audio-2
channel
is within 30 degrees.

value is not obtained,
repeat
