9.4 Highspeed handpiece

After you start the electric motor with the foot switch, an
audible warning signal sounds 6 times.

You can activate counterclockwise rotation of the elec-
tric motor also with the foot switch:

•

4-way foot control plate to the left – counterclockwise
rotation

•

4-way foot control plate to the right – clockwise rota-
tion

The corresponding motor must have been picked up
before.

Highspeed handpiece

Starting the highspeed handpiece

When you pick up the highspeed handpiece, 0 bar or PSI
(according to the presetting in Mode dialog 10.13)
appears on the display. When you start or operate the
highspeed handpiece, the current air pressure in bar or
PSI always appears on the display.

9.5

SIROSONIC L scaler

Tip protector

The tip protector is used as a tool for screwing in instru-
ment tips.

CAUTION

While the handpiece is in its holder, the tip protector must
remain fitted to prevent injuries.

Intensity setting

When you pick up the

SIROSONIC L

handpiece, the

programmed intensity value appears on the display.
