INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

This chapter provides the basic information required to install

the physical units.

Note

Physical installation of commercial units (computers, printers,
displays) is not described in this manual. Refer to the applicable
user manual(s) provided with the product.

Basic procedure

This is the basic installation procedure.

1

Check that you have received all parts required for the

installation; cables, connectors, brackets etc.

2

Install the transducer(s) and the transducer cables according

to the guidelines in this manual and the drawings provided

with the transducer.

3

If applicable, install the two-wire cable for the temperature

sensing thermistor.

4

Mount the Processor Unit (computer) and the display using

the appropriate brackets.

5

Connect the computer and display cables:
• Power cable to display monitor.
• Power cable to computer.
• Video cable from computer to display monitor.
• Connect the pointing device (mouse or trackball)

6

Mount the General Purpose Transceiver using the

appropriate brackets.

7

Connect the cables:
• Transducer cable(s)
• Power cable(s)
• If applicable, connect the cable from the temperature

sensor.

• If available, install a two-wire cable for remote on/off of

the General Purpose Transceiver(s).
