3. For multi-layer septa, place the black settling mat on top of the reaction tubes.

4. Cover with the Top Plate and close both side clamps simultaneously (Figure 22). This will firmly seat

the reaction tubes.

5. Leave clamped for at least 30 seconds before removing the settling mat.

6. Place the multi-layer septum, making sure the septum is oriented correctly and that the clear Teflon® layer
