Slowly draw out the syringe (A) until water is
drawn in and no more bubbles are visible (fig-
ure under step 5).
The checking unit must be covered by at
least one finger width of water.
7.
Carry out zero calibration:
1.
Connect the photometer to the PC ac-
cording to Section 6.3.
2.
Open the
Zero.txt
file. Enter “1” after the
“
=
” symbol. (0 for
Adjustment no
or 1
for
Adjustment yes)

Close the file after making your entry.
Changes are saved automatically.
4.
The window of the removable disk closes,
recalibration is made and the window
then reopens after a short time.
If calibration was successful, an additional file
Zero.OK
appears.
If configuration was unsuccessful, an addition-
al file
Zero.ERR
appears after a few seconds.
In this case, repeat the calibration and check
the points in the following list one after the
other:
Cleanliness of the checking unit?
Correct checking unit used?
Soiled sapphire windows in the instru-
ment? In this case, clean the windows and
then repeat the procedure.
Clean potable water used?
Is the checking unit correctly locked in
place (see step 4)?
Is there still free space between the check-
ing unit and the sapphire window?
If the check could not be successfully
completed, contact your country representative
(Section 11).
8.
Remove the checking unit from the photome-
ter and dry it.
In doing so, ensure that the surface of the
glass body is dry.
9.
Install the instrument according to Section
4and put it back into operation.
