2.2.5 Digital Output Rack, PCBs and PSUs

The digital output rack is the same size as the ITU rack except that 17 card guides
are fitted. These take one PSU PCB and between 1 and 16 Digital Output PCBs.
The assembly drawing for the rack is 667/GA/22626/001. One or two racks may
be fitted to an Instation.

2.2.5.1 PSU PCB

The PSU PCB is identical to the ITU rack PSU PCB so see section 2.2.4.1 for
configuration details. Details of how to connect to the digital output rack are in the
next section.

2.2.5.2 Digital Output PCB

There are several variants of the PCB, /000 to /099 have current source outputs
and /100 to /199 have current sink outputs. The variants in those two groups are to
cope with different output current limit values.

See Figure 13 for a diagram of the board layout showing the position of
connectors, LEDs and switches.
