MRP Redundancy (With Internal CPU/External PROFINET card interface)
When multiple devices are connected in MRP configuration, then the topology below with the
required port settings needs to be done as given below

In Port 1 and Port 2 of the CPU PROFINET interface and the Simocode pro V PN
devices, “Transmission medium” should be automatic and the “Monitor” checkbox needs
to be activated.

System Redundancy (S2) configuration with Redundant PLC
In a redundant CPU configuration,”S2 Redundancy” can be achieved with SIMOCODE pro V
PN devices by connecting with the internal PROFINET interface of the CPU as shown with
the required port settings needs to be done as given below.
At the Master CPU:
1.
In Port 1 of the PROFINET interface, “Transmission medium” should be automatic and
the “Monitor” checkbox needs to activated as shown in figure.
2.
In Port 2 of the PROFINET card, “Transmission medium” and the “Monitor” checkbox
needs to be disabled as shown in figure.
At the Standby CPU:
1.
In Port 1 of the PROFINET interface, "Transmission medium" should be automatic and
the "Monitor" checkbox needs to activated as shown in figure.
2.
In Port 2 of the PROFINET card, "Transmission medium" and the "Monitor" checkbox
needs to be disabled as shown in figure.
