Parameter
Description
Range of values / note
dead-interval
Keyword for the interval after which the neigh-
bor router is classified as "failed" if Hello pack-
ets from it are not received.

Length of the interval
1 ... 65535 s
Default: 60
The value must be a multiple of the hello
interval.
The routers located on the same link
must have the same interval.
Result
The virtual link is created.
Further notes
You delete the virtual link with the
no area
command.
You display information about the virtual links with the
show ipv6 ospf virtual link
command.

ASBR Router
Description
With his command, you specify that the router is an Autonomous System Boundary Router
(ASBR).
Note
This command is available only with layer 3.
Requirement
You are in the OSPFv3 router configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
