A wheel is mounted on the left side of the grid motor (M1); on the wheel there are slits
which activate the grid switch (S1).

1. Move the grid to the left end position.

2. Check if the slits are horizontal to the detector table (see

(Fig. 47 / p. 69)

)

4. Check if the slits are horizontal to the detector table (see

(Fig. 47 / p. 69)

5. If the slits are not horizontal, loosen the screw on the wheel and adjust it so that the slits

are horizontal in both end positions.

Adjusting the grid location

1. Open the carbon detector cover.

2. Make sure the grid is mounted parallel to the detector and is lined up with the front of the

table.

The front switch has to be engaged and the springs for the grid holders (left and right)
have to be engaged; see "Mounting the grid" on

(Mounting the grid / p. 28)

for more

detailed information.

3. Make sure that the springs move up and down easily.

4. Move the grid to the left and right positions. Be sure that space between the grid brack-

et and grid angle is the same on both sides. Otherwise, loosen the two screws from the
grid motor support and adjust the space.
