Checking the compression device

Figure 1 Swivel arm system

Attach compression plate (1) if it is not already done.

Check that the compression plate can not be removed without pressing the compres-
sion plate release button (2).

Check the function of the knobs for manual compression/decompression (3).

Place a piece of soft material on the object table, for example a rolled up towel or a
piece of foam-rubber (4).

Check the function of the foot switch for motorized compression/decompression (1)
and (2) in Figure 2.
