Equipment care

You should check and clean your system and its components regularly.

System unit

It usually suffices to clean the housing with a soft dry cloth. If the surface is very dirty,

use a cloth which has been immersed in luke-warm water containing a mild detergent

and then thoroughly wrung out. Do not allow water to get inside the system unit.

The air filter on the front of the system unit should also be cleaned regularly with
the aid of a vacuum cleaner

(see Fig. 15). If dust is allowed to accumulate in the filter,

the temperature in the system unit may rise. This can result in damage and data loss.

The filter should be renewed every three months, or earlier if it is too dirty to be

cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
