Connection panels on the system unit

Connecting terminal devices by means of IMD

If your system unit is equipped with an IMD connection (see page 14), you can

connect further terminal devices by way of your PABX network.

• Proceed as follows at the system unit:

Plug the special IMD cable supplied into the socket of the IMD lead-through

filter on the connection panel.

Secure the connector.

• Proceed as follows at the distributor of the PABX network:

Plug the 2-pin connector at the free end of the cable into the PABX network

sockets provided.

• Proceed as follows at the site of the remote terminal devices:

Connect the cable of the external module to the telephone socket.

Connect the terminal device to the external module using the standard SS97 or

V.24 connecting cable. Secure the connector.

Connect first the external module and then the terminal devices to the 220 V

supply (same power distributor).
