Safety standards

This device conforms to the IEC435/VDE0805 safety standards for data processing

equipment.

When installing and using your MX300, please note the following:

• Check that your MX300 is set to match the local line voltage (see page 37).

• The MX300 has a tested and approved power supply cable, and must be connected

to a properly grounded power outlet socket only.

• When setting up your system, you must ensure that its power supply connection

and the grounded outlet at the place of use are both easily accessible.

In the event of an emergency, you must be able to completely isolate the unit from

the power supply by unplugging it.

• Be sure to route cables in such a way that they cannot be stepped on or tripped

over.

• The cables of the individual system components should always be connected and

disconnected in the order specified in the chapter entitled "Interconnecting the

system components" (page 22).

• Never connect or disconnect cables during a storm.
