Recognizing the safe operating state
The system is in proper operation when:
●
A system check has been carried out according to the Maintenance plan before
commissioning and in running operation.
●
Only the green status indicator on the control unit lights up and operating status
“Operation or Power” (MCUDH Ex or MCU) shown on the display.
Recognizing malfunctions
At this stage of commissioning, a display of the malfunctions can only be seen on the
control unit. Any deviation from normal operation must be regarded as a serious indication
of a functional impairment or unsafe operating state. These are, amongst others:
●
Indication of malfunctions on the LC display
●
The red LED lights up (malfunction)
●
Implausible measurement results
●
Increased power consumption
●
Increased system components temperature
●
Triggering of monitoring devices
●
Smells or smoke emission
Electrical connection
Ensure the device can be switched off with a power isolating switch or circuit breaker in
accordance with EN 61010-1.
