BEFORE WEIGHING
Using batteries (TXB Series only)

Remove the pan and pan supporter.
Caution
Prohibitions
Do not remove the pan ring.
Attempting to do so could break it.
The pan ring protects the weighing
mechanism when the balance is
turned over.

Turn the balance upside down.

Press the two catches on the battery
compartment simultaneously in the
direction indicated by the arrows.
The cover will come off.
Caution
Prohibitions
Do not open covers where a
seal is affixed.
On no account open the covers
inside the battery compartment
that have seals affixed to them.

Insert the batteries and replace the
cover.
Take care to insert the batteries with the correct
polarity.

Press
The display will automatically go through the
changes indicated below, ending with the OFF
display.
(This is the balance's self check display.)
