Shipping Precautions
For its main power supply, the SBE 39
plus
-IM uses four 3.6-volt AA lithium
cells (Saft LS14500). The SBE 39
plus
-IM
was shipped from the factory with
the cells installed.
If the shipment does not meet the requirements below, the shipment is considered
Dangerous/Hazardous Goods, and must be shipped according to those rules.

If you will re-ship the SBE 39
plus
-IM after testing, pack the SBE 39
plus
-IM
and/or spare AA cells properly for shipment, apply appropriate labels, and
prepare appropriate shipping documentation.
Note:
Remove the AA cells before returning
the 39
plus
-IM to Sea-Bird. Do not
return the used cells to Sea-Bird when
shipping the 39
plus
-IM
for calibration
or repair. All setup information is
preserved when the cells are removed.
