Data Upload
Commands
Upload data using one of these telemetry methods:
•
USB
- Much faster upload is available via USB; however, you must open
the 39
plus
-IM housing to access the internal USB connector. The USB
telemetry allows ASCII or binary upload; binary upload is inherently
twice as fast as ASCII upload.
•
Inductive modem
– Data can be uploaded in ASCII while the 39
plus
-IM
is deployed, or is wired in the lab as shown in
Test Setup
in
Section 3:
Preparing SBE 39plus-IM for Deployment
. Upload speed is limited by the
baud rate between the 39
plus
-IM and IMM/SIM, which is 1200 baud. We
recommend uploading with IM telemetry only if you are interested in
looking at a small amount of data or need to upload the data without
recovering the instrument.
Stop sampling (send
#iiStop
) before uploading data.
#iiGetSamples:b,e
Upload data from scan
b
to scan
e
, in
format defined by
#iiOutputFormat=
.
First sample in memory is number 1.
Testing
Commands
Data obtained with these commands is
not
stored in FLASH memory.
#iiTT
Measure temperature for 100 samples,
output
converted data
.
#iiTP
Measure pressure for 100 samples, output
converted data
.
#iiTTR
Measure temperature for 100 samples,
output
raw data
.
#iiTPR
Measure pressure and pressure
temperature for 100 samples, output
raw
data
.
Examples:
Upload data from memory for 39
plus
-IM with ID=01 (user input in bold).
(Click Capture menu and enter desired filename in dialog box.)
#01getsamples:1,200
(Upload scans 1 through 200)
#01getsamples:1
(Upload scan 1)
#01getsamples
(Upload all scans in memory)
Notes:
•
Use the Upload menu in
SeatermIM or the Upload
button in SeatermUSB –
SBE39plus-IM to upload data
that will be plotted in Plot39 or
processed by SBE Data
Processing
. Manually entering a
data upload command does not
produce data with the required
format.
•
If not using the Upload menu /
button
- To save data to a file,
click Capture before entering a
data upload command.
•
See
Data Formats
after these
Command Descriptions
.
Note:
The uploaded data format is the
same, regardless of the choice of
upload telemetry (inductive modem or
USB) and type (ASCII or binary).
