Malfunction

Vacuum generator function-
ing, but the load is not
picked up.
Not all suction plates are
completely covered by the
load. Air is leaking in.

Position the lifting device
on the load so that all
suction plates are com-
pletely covered by the
load.
Dust filter is dirty.

Clean or replace the filter
cartridge of the dust fil-
ter.
The filter cartridge is incor-
rectly inserted.

Check that the filter car-
tridge is correctly in-
serted.
Dust filter is not closed.

Close the dust filter cover.
Hose or screw unions are
leaking.

Replace or seal compo-
nents.
Valves are dirty.

Have valves cleaned by
Schmalz service.
Manual slide valve:
Manual slide valve is in “Re-
lease load” position.

Move manual slide valve
to “Apply suction to
load” position.
Manual slide valve is faulty.

Repair or replace manual
slide valve.
Suction plates can be
switched off:
The manual slide valve of a
suction plate that is not cov-
ered by the load is open.

Close the manual slide
valve for the relevant suc-
tion plate.
Minimum vacuum -0,6 bar is
not reached.
Sealing lip on suction plate is
damaged.

Replace suction plate.
Load has cracks, gaps or is
porous.
The load cannot be handled
with this lifting device.
Gauge is faulty.

Replace the gauge.
Hose or screw unions are
