7.1.6 Checks before Starting Work
1. Ensure that the energy supply is operating reliably.
2. Inspect safety features.
3. Drain the water separator (optional).

Cross beam

Adjust the cross beams (11) and the suction plates (6) so that the load’s center of gravity is below the sus-
pension point:
1. Open the clamping lever (6.1 / 11.1) by approximately one full turn.
2. Adjust the cross beam (11) or suction plate holder (6.2) to the desired distance.
3. Close the clamping lever (6.1 / 11.1) all the way.
4. Check the vacuum connections.
7.3 Adjusting the Beam for Non-Rigid Loads
Lifting devices with more than two cross beams are often used for non-rigid loads with large dimensions,
e.g. thin metal sheets.

Incorrectly adjusted beams
Risk of injury caused by insufficient lift capacity

Adjust the beam system so that all suction plates are on the same level when suction is
applied.
