The vacuum of the lifting device must not be deactivated when the EMERGENCY STOP
switch is activated.

Connect the lifting device after the main switch of the crane system and before the
EMERGENCY STOP switch of the crane or chain hoist.
Connection variants:
Electrical connection on the Schmalz chain hoist

Connect the spiral cable to the chain hoist.

Connect the lifting device to power according to the supplied circuit diagram.

Connect the lifting device with the CEE plug to the customer-supplied power supply.
6.5 Checking the Rotating Field
NOTE
Damage to the vacuum generator due to an incorrect direction of rotation!

Before the start of operations, check the rotation field for clockwise rotation.
The vacuum generator is supplied with a “clockwise rotation field”. If no rotation field measuring device
is available, check the direction of rotation of the vacuum generator before the start of operations:
1. Switch on the vacuum generator.
2. Ensure that the motor fan blade turns in the direction of the arrow.
3. If the direction of rotation is incorrect, switch the unit off immediately and reverse the connection in
the supply line.
4. Check the direction of rotation once again.
You can purchase a motor rotation tester from Schmalz (part no. 21.05.05.00082). Schmalz ac-
cepts no liability for damage caused by operating the device with the incorrect direction of ro-
tation.
