Quickly Switching to Quiet
Mode
Quiet mode disables all sounds on your PDA phone. This
feature is best used in situations where the phone might
disturb others, such as at a meeting, a library, or a
theatre.
To enter Quiet mode, press and hold the button until
“Quiet mode activated” displays. The Quiet mode
indicator (
)
appears on the top of the screen.
To exit and reactivate the previous sound settings, press
and hold the button until “Quiet mode deactivated”
appears. The Quiet mode indicator no longer displays.
Note
: ‘wake up call’ alarm sound and ‘camere shutter’ sound are
not eliminated by selecting Quiet mode.
You can change how Quiet mode works, either to vibrate
the phone or to mute all phone sounds. See page 249.
Options During a Call
Your PDA phone provides a number of control functions
that you can use during a call.
Putting a Call on Hold
You can place the current call on hold whenever you want.
You can make another call while you have a call in progress.
To place a call on hold, simply press the
Hold
soft
button. You can reactivate the call whenever you want,
by pressing the
Unhold
soft button.
