Conducting IR HotSync Operations

See the user’s guide for your operating system for 
instructions on finding the simulated port. This 
information is usually located in the Control Panel.

 When your desktop holder is connected to a USB port, you 

can continue using the desktop holder while HotSync 

Manager is configured for infrared communication.

Performing an IR HotSync operation

After you complete the steps to prepare for performing 
an IR HotSync operation, it’s easy to perform the actual 
operation.

To perform an IR HotSync operation on your PDA phone:

1. On the Application Launcher, tap the 

HotSync

 icon (

).

2. Tap 

Local

3. Tap the pick list below the HotSync button and select 

IR 

to a PC/Handheld
