Formats
Use the Formats Preferences screen to set the country
default and the display format of the dates, times, and
numbers on your PDA phone. The formats that you
select appear in all applications of your PDA phone.
Preset to
: This option sets the date, time, starting day
of the week, and number conventions based on
geographic regions where you might use your PDA
phone.
For example, in the United Kingdom, time often is
expressed using a 24-hour clock. In the United States,
however, time is expressed using a 12-hour clock with
an AM or PM suffix.
All your PDA phone applications use the country default
settings. You can, however, customise your own
preferences as described in Time, Date, Week starts,
Numbers below.
To select country default, tap the current country in the
Preset to
line and select a country from the Set Country
dialogue box.
Time
: Select a time format from the pick list.
Date
: Select a date format from the pick list.
Week starts
: Select whether you want the first day of
the week to be Sunday or Monday. This setting controls
the Day, Week, and Month views in Date Book and all
other aspects of your PDA phone that display a calendar.
Numbers
: Select formats for the decimal point and
thousands separator.
