Set CPT Output
CPT (current position transmitter) is the analogue output signal that provides feedback of the current
actuator status. There are two available options for CPT output:
Position Output: Displays a 4-20mA (0-10V) signal scaled to the actuator position.
4mA (0V) = 0% and 20mA (10V) = 100%.
System Pressure:
Displays a 4-20mA (0-10V) signal scaled to the actuator system pressure.
4mA (0V) = 0% and 20mA (10V) = 100%.
Analogue Signal Failure Action
This dictates the actuator action if an analogue signal failure occurs. The three options are:
Alarm Off: The actuator will not present an alarm.
Alarm On: The actuator will present an alarm under loss of analogue signal.
Alarm and Software ESD:
The actuator will present an alarm and perform its Software ESD action (refer
to 8.5.1).
Deadband Closing (%)
This setting specifies the deadband for the analogue control signal in the close direction. The available
range is 0.1% to 9.9% at 0.1% increments.
Deadband Opening (%)
This setting specifies the deadband for the analogue control signal in the open direction. The available
range is 0.1% to 9.9% at 0.1% increments.
Hysteresis Closing (%)
This setting specifies the hysteresis for the analogue control signal in the close direction. The available
range is 0.1% to 9.9% at 0.1% increments.
Hysteresis Opening (%)
This setting specifies the hysteresis for the analogue control signal in the open direction. The available
range is 0.1% to 9.9% at 0.1% increments.
Minimum Percentage Demand (%)
The minimum demand required through the analogue input before the actuator will move away from
the closed limit. The available range is 0% to 9.9% at 0.1% increments.
8.6.2 Flow Characterisation
Flow Characterisation Enabled
This enables or disables flow characterisation. The analogue input for the SI Pro can be characterised to
suit the valve type. For example, equal percentage flow can be configured for the analogue input.
Demand input to position at (0% - 100%)
Each setting relates to an actuator position, every 5% across the full range of travel. The editable
setting value relates to a percentage of the analogue signal span (0% is 4mA or 0Vdc, 100% is 20mA or
10Vdc).
