8.4 Digital Control
8.4.1 Remote Priority
Remote priority defines what the actuator will do when open and close signals are applied
simultaneously. There are three available options:
Stay Put: The actuator will stop in the current position.
Close: The actuator will close until it reaches a travel limit, over pressure or manual stop.
Open:
The actuator will open until it reaches a travel limit, over pressure or manual stop.
8.4.2 Hold Position
The actuator hold position setting can be configured to reduce the effects of back driving forces acting
on the valve.
On: The actuator will maintain the current position by compensating for position drift using the solenoid
valve or pump.
Off: The actuator position drift will not be compensated for; therefore the actual position may fluctuate.
8.4.3 Position Hysteresis
The position hysteresis setting works in conjunction with the hold position setting to set the amount of
travel permitted before the actuator should automatically reposition itself. This is set from 0.1% to
9.9%.
8.4.4 Over Pressure Hysteresis
This feature will vent the internal hydraulic pressure in the actuator if it reaches a set defined value
while the actuator is at a position limit. The setting range is 1% to 99%. By default this is set to 110% of
the Close Pressure (Limit) 8.1.4 or Open Pressure (Limit) 8.1.6 for the respective limit position.
8.4.5 Under Pressure Hysteresis
This feature will increase the internal hydraulic pressure in the actuator if it falls below the set value
while the actuator is at a position limit. The setting range is 1% to 99%. By default this is set to 90% of
the Close Pressure (Limit) 8.1.4 or Open Pressure (Limit) 8.1.6 for the respective limit position.
