3.3.2 IEC cable
The IEC cable (mains cable) is used to connect the control unit to
the power supply.
The IEC cable is optionally available in versions for
Europe (F), Switzerland (J), United Kingdom (G),
Japan (B) and USA (B).

The IO interface module (Fig. 7) is used to activate the MultiControl
II via discrete digital inputs (e.g. of a PLC).
In the process, the IO interface module transmits the digital inputs
to the MultiControl II as commands and also transmits the feed-
back from the control unit to the digital outputs.
In addition, the IO interface module transmits the serial RS485
interface of the MultiControl II to the digital inputs and outputs in
both directions.
