1.1 GENERAL WARNINGS
After removing the package check its content integrity and
completeness. In case of need contact the Company RIELLO
where the device was purchased.
Equipment installation RIELLO must be carried out by an
authorised company according to Italian Ministerial Decree
37/2008 that will issue a declaration of the installation's
conformity to the product's owner once the work has been
completed, indicating that the work has been carried out
in accordance with the standards of good practice, the
current regulations, and the indications provided in this
booklet.
These devices must comply with their intended use com-
patibly with their performance features.
The company shall bear no responsibility, whether of a
contractual or non-contractual nature RIELLO, for any dam-
age caused to people, animals, or property due to incor-
rect installation, adjustments and maintenance, or im-
proper use.
The devices contain refrigerant gas: work with caution in
order to avoid damaging the gas circuit and the finned
coil.
In the event of any functional anomalies or liquid leaks,
set the system's main switch to its "off" position and close
the shut-off valves. Contact immediately the Technical
Support Service RIELLO. Do not perform any operation on
the device.
This publication must always be carefully preserved, since
it is an integral part of the unit, and must ALWAYS accom-
pany it, even in the event that it is sold to another owner
or user, or is transferred to another system. If it is dam-
aged or lost, another copy can be requested to the
Technical Support Service in your Area.
Any repair and maintenance interventions must be carried
out by the Technical Support Service RIELLO, in accordance
with the provisions contained in this publication. Do not
modify or tamper with the unit as dangerous situations
may arise and the unit manufacturer will not be liable for
any damage caused.
Suitable clothing, instrumentation, and accident-preven-
tion devices must be utilized during the installation and/or
maintenance operations. RIELLO shall bear no responsibil-
ity for any failure to comply with current safety and acci-
dent-prevention regulations.
The current laws in the Country in which the machine is
installed regarding the use and disposal of the packaging
materials, the products used for cleaning and mainte-
nance, and the disposal of the unit at the end of its service
life, must be respected.
According to EU Regulation no. 517/2014 regarding certain
fluorinated greenhouse gases, the total amount of refrig-
erant gas contained within the installed system must be
indicated. This information can be found on the external
unit technical data plate.
This unit contains fluorinated greenhouse gases covered
by the Kyoto Protocol. The maintenance and disposal op-
erations must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Never apply pressure or leverage to any of the unit’s
panels or uprights; only the base of the unit frames is
designed to withstand such stresses. No force or effort
must be applied to pressurised parts, especially via
pipes connected to the water heat exchanger (with or
without the hydronic kit if the unit is equipped with
this).
Any technician carrying out work on the electrical or re-
frigerating section must be authorised, with the relevant
qualifications and certifications, including for soldering
operations and for
handling of the shut-off valve.
He/
she must have been trained and be familiar with the
equipment and the installation.
The manual valves must only be manipulated when
the machine is off. Do not forget to refit protective
caps to prevent leaks.
Before opening a refrigerating circuit, purge and read the
pressure indicators.
Repairs and modifications which involve a permanent as-
sembly (welding, soldering, expansion of tubes, etc.) must
be performed by qualified operators following operating
procedures.
1.2 ESSENTIAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
All recommendations concerning unit installation are in-
tended as a guideline. The installer should carry out the
installation according to the design conditions and should
comply with all applicable regulations for air conditioning
and refrigeration installations.
The use of the device is forbidden for children and disa-
bled people with no assistance.
It is forbidden to open the access doors and carry out any
technical or cleaning operation before disconnecting the
device from the power supply positioning the system main
switch to "off".
It is forbidden to modify the safety or adjustment devices
without the manufacturer's authorisation and instruc-
tions.
It is forbidden to climb on the device with your feet, sit
down and/or put any type of objects on it.
It is forbidden to pull, detach, or twist the electrical cables
protruding from the device, even if it is disconnected from
its electrical power supply.
The unit has an electric protection rate equal to IPX4:
bear it in mind if you think the equipment might get wet
due to direct squirts or jets of water.
It is forbidden to dispose of or leave the package material
within children's reach, as it might pose a danger.
It is strictly forbidden to touch the moving parts, to place
any body parts between them, or to insert pointy objects
into the grilles.
It is forbidden to touch the device while barefoot or with
wet or moist body parts.
1.2.1 Fire and explosion
When this machine is subjected to the heat of a fire, a de-
vice prevents explosion releasing the refrigerant (by a fu-
sible plug). This fluid can be decomposed into toxic waste
when subjected to flame:
• Stay away from this machine,
• Set up the warning and recommendation for personnel re-
sponsible for stopping fire,
• Appropriate fire extinguishers for the system and the re-
frigerant types used must be within easy reach.
CAUTION:
Typical applications of these units are in refrigeration
system, and they do not required earthquake resistance.
Earthquake resistance has not been verified.
