MediorNet User Manual 2.00.0

Sync. Priority

Master

Highest priority. Frame becomes sync master when error free sync signal is
detected on sync input and no other Frame has same configuration.

Secondary Master

Second priority level. Frame becomes sync master when error free sync signal is
detected on sync input and no other Frame has same configuration and higher
or same priority.

Tertiary Master

Third priority level. Frame becomes sync master when error free sync signal is
detected on sync input and no other Frame has same configuration and higher
or same priority.

none

No priority is set to this Frame. Frame can only become sync master in
MediorNet when no other Frame has higher priority settings.

Sync. In

Shows which type of sync signal is connected on

Sync In.

Sync. Out

Selects which

sync signal

type should be generated on the output. It's possible to generate sync signals

of different types on different Frames.

VITC Out

Enable or disable of embedding the timecode in the Sync-signal.

Leading Sync. Out

The Sync signal is generated 500µs before the MediorNet wide sync signal.

TC Source

The MediorNet acts as a timecode generator if the sync master does not detect a VITC on the

Sync In

port, or if the

Sync In is lost. In this case the TC Mode must be set.

When

Sync Out ports are configured for Blackburst PAL the VITC is in lines 19 and 21, when configured for

Blackburst NTSC the VITC is in lines 14 and 16.

Reports the TC format of the currently connected sync in signal, left blank if there is no sync in or no
valid TC. Possible Values:

LTC

external Longitudinal (Linear) Timecode

VITC

external Vertical Interval Timecode

internal

internal Timecode

TC Mode

Only modifiable on the sync master if no external TC is detected, otherwise the

TC Mode is fixed to the

Sync In TC Mode. Used to select how the timecode is counted. The same values as in the TC Source

column apply.

Button

Restore Sync. Priorities

The original Sync-Master is switched back after pressing the button (f.i. if a Secondary Master was used).
A short signal interruption may occur by changing the Sync-Master.
