Knife
Tie one end of 48in. long x 1/16in. diameter nylon cord to the handle of the knife. Tie the other end to
the knife pocket on the canopy exterior. Wrap cord around knife handle then insert knife into pocket.
Container Setup
Install the painterline plug into the bottom half of the container.
Position the top container shell so the inside is visible. Place rubber gasket flat along raised edge of
top container shell to form a seal when the container is shut. DO NOT place the rubber gasket
vertically along the inner rim of the shell as this will interfere with the bottom container shell when
assembled and not form a solid seal. To install the gasket, first brush the adhesive inside the groove
then brush glue onto the seal. Embed the seal into the groove.
Survival Equipment Pack
1. Layout the components in the vacuum bag. (See Fig. 5 and Table A)
2. Measure 1in.-1.5in. from the edge and heat seal the open end of the bag being sure to leave a
1in. gap in the end.
3. Insert a vacuum hose into the gap so hose is positioned in the folds of the bailer and evacuate
the bag completely.
TIP!
If any small holes are found in the vacuum bag, cover the holes with black gaffers tape
and continue evacuating the air from the bag.
4. Once the bag has been compressed, quickly remove the hose and seal the open gap.
5. Secure the bag to the front, center interior lifeline of the raft using a cord wound through the hole
in the equipment bag. (See Fig. 5)
