with the face (emitter front) end parallel to the plane of the scan path.
3. Position both hands on the handle, taking into consideration the motion required to complete the
scan path. Make a practice sweep through the entire scan path. Note: Ensure that feet and hands
are clear of the scan path by a wide margin.

WARNING
AS&E recommends that the scan path be planned so that the front of the scanner
can be within approximately four to six inches (10-15CM) of the surface being
scanned. This provides flexibility for positioning while minimizing the dispersion of
backscatter around the scanner detectors.
