SECTION 7: AIR TURNOVER UNIT ASSEMBLY
The air t u rno v er u nit is shipped in m u ltiple sections
that req u ire field assem b ly. The b ase section m u st
first b e fastened to the concrete sla b or floor b efore
the remaining sections are mo u nted.
To attach the b ase section to a concrete sla b , it m u st
b e sec u red w ith the u se of st u ds em b edded in the
concrete. St u ds (pro v ided b y others) m u st b e
installed in the sla b , one for each 3/4"(19.1 cm) hole
drilled thro u gh the flanges located on the b ottom of
the b ase section. See Page 23, Figure 11 . Fasten the
b ase section to the sla b w ith fo u r hex n u ts and lock
w ashers (pro v ided b y others).
Lift the remaining sections, as applica b le, into place.
See Page 21, Figure 10 . To assem b le, u se the
s u pplied hard w are and b olt the sections together
thro u gh the pre-drilled holes. S u pplied hard w are
m u st b e torq u ed to recommended specifications on
Page 8, Table 1 . For details, See Page 24, Figure 12
and Page 25, Figure 13 .
Beca u se of the height of the air t u rno v er u nit, it is
highly recommended to sec u re the top of the air
t u rno v er u nit to the str u ct u re's ceiling s u pport b eams
for sta b ility. This is mandatory w hene v er the optional
discharge extensions are u sed.
