3.
Secure the rear housing (item 80G) of
the filter assembly (item 80) in a vise
and with a 3/4-inch wrench connected to
the front housing (item 80E), remove the
front housing (right hand threads).
4.
Remove the paint filter (item 80B) from
the rear housing (item 80G).
5.
If a new paint filter is to be installed,
wash the front housing (item 80E) and
rear housing (item 80G) in solvent.
6.
If the same paint filter (item 80B) is to be
used, wash the paint filter, front housing
(item 80E), and rear housing (item 80G)
in solvent. Use a bristle brush to clean
paint from the metal disk of the paint fil-
ter.
7.
Secure the rear housing (item 80D) in a
vise. Place the paint filter (item 80B)
into the rear housing metal disk first.
8.
Turn the front housing (item 80E) onto
the rear housing (item 80G). With a 3/4-
inch open end wrench, tighten the front
housing to the rear housing.
9.
Connect the filter assembly (item 80) to
the gun assembly and the fluid hose
(item 71) to the filter assembly.
When spraying plural component mate-
rial, the filter assembly should be cleaned
as soon as possible afterwards.
Ransburg advises keeping an extra
paint filter on hand. While one is being
used, soak the other in solvent and change
the filters out between jobs.
