Recharging Pocket PID Unit

1. Turn off power of the Pocket PID unit.

2. Place the Pocket PID unit into the slot of the charging

station to recharge (see Section 3.0).

3. Make sure that the indicator LED turns red to indicate

that the unit has made good contact and is being
charged. After the LED turns green, the unit is fully
charged. If there is no LED light, turn the ToxiRAE in
the charger so it faces the opposite direction. If there is
still no LED light, it indicates a bad contact or defective
battery pack.

Replacing and Recharging Battery Pack

1. Turn off power of the Pocket PID unit.

2. Refer to Figure 7.1, unscrew the sensor cap, remove

one screw and open the Pocket PID unit covers.

3. Unplug the battery from the battery jack on the PC

board of the Pocket PID unit.

4. Connect the battery to the rear jack on the back of the

charging station for charging (see Section 3.0).

5. Replace the charged battery (or a spare battery) in the

Pocket PID unit.

6. Ensure the battery plug is securely connected to the

Pocket PID unit.

7. Close the Pocket PID unit covers and tighten screws.
