PROGRAMMING OF TOXIRAE
4 - 3
User Mode
There are two user modes to allow a user to control the
access to the programming menu. If the user mode is set to
“display,” then a user cannot enter programming menu at
all. If the user mode is set to “program”, then a user can
enter programming mode. The user mode must be set
using a PC (see Section 5.0 for details on setting up the
user mode).
Security Level
There are three levels of security in the ToxiRAE
programming mode to provide further protection against
un-unauthorized changes to the instrument alarm settings
and other settings. The
level 2
security allows a user to
enter programming mode without any password checking.
This is the default security setting. The
level 1
security
requires a 4-digit password to enter programming.
Level 0
security allows a user to enter the programming mode
without any password checking, as the level 2. However,
it does not allow a user to save any changes to the alarm
limits, real time clock, gas selection, correction factor, user
ID or site numbers. A user can still perform calibration
with level 0 security. The security level must be set using
a PC (see Section 5.0 for details on setting up the security
level).
