adapter from the body. Replace the membrane filter. Make
sure that the Teflon washer remains inside the cavity. Replace
the tube adapter.
(2) Replace charcoal filter :
The charcoal filter needs to be replaced every six months or
sooner. Use a screw driver to remove the two screws that
hold the front piece with a set screw from the body of the
probe. Replace the charcoal filter. Make sure that the O-ring
inside the front piece remain inside the hole. Re-attach the front
piece to the body by two screws.
After replacing membrane filter or charcoal filter, always re-
calibrate the probe.
3.8 UV Attenuator Ring
An UV attenuator ring has been included inside the sensor
block of the MiniRAE Plus Professional PID unit. This ring is
made of Teflon material with 0.5" outside diameter and 0.2"
hole diameter. This ring is to be put in front the lamp window
against the sensor block. This ring reduces the UV light
intensity to about 16% of the original intensity from the lamp.
The purpose of this ring to allow the unit to use a stronger UV
