Preface

About this manual

This manual describes the Radisys R220, a 2U network appliance that is designed for long-
term use, flexible configuration, and easy maintenance and upgrading. The product is referred
to as the “R220” or “chassis” throughout the remainder of this manual.

What’s new in this release

Added chapter 4, Remote Management. This new chapter describes the option to manage the
R220 remotely, and includes information on the general technology and setup.
