One of the new features of the Wahoo2 RAID Controller is its ability to have an embedded
application. StorView Storage Management software is available as an option in the form of
an embedded application module on some Wahoo2 models.
Embedding StorView on the RAID Controller relieves the user from having to install
software and eliminates the possibility of device issues from one operating system to
another. Also it does not consume any host server CPU cyles or memory with the
exception of running the web browser, and is truly host OS independent.
If you have one of the embedded application models (OmniStor 4931F, 4932F, 4941F, or
4942F) you will see a 10/100Base-T ethernet connector and a set of four LEDs on the left
hand side of the RAID Controller face plate. The LEDs provide status information about
the embedded application controller and an ethernet networking port that provides
connectivity to your local area network.
