Chapter 3 On-board Remote Management

Updates Page

Quantum SuperLoader 3A Series User’s Guide

FTP Server Updates

Updates to the FTP file server are done through the FTP client using the

A-Series tape drive Ethernet port.
To determine the current version of FTP client firmware or to update the

firmware:

Open a browser and enter the A-Series tape drive IP address (default

10.10.10.10

The FTP client screen displays

From the

Admin

menu, click

Login

and enter

admin

for the password.

Click

Update Server Firmware

The current firmware version displays.

To update the firmware version, click

Browse

and select the file.

Click

Update

to start the process.

When the update completes, a prompt to reboot for changes to take

effect displays.

Click

Reboot

Note:

The reboot process may take as long as five to seven

minutes. After reboot completes, a media cartridge

inventory is initiated. Depending upon the number of

cartridges in each magazine and the amount of content or

data on each cartridge, the media cartridge inventory may

take up to 40 minutes.
