Appendix B Configuring Windows for DMA Data Transfer Mode

Changing the Transfer Mode

GoVault™ for Windows User’s Guide

In the

Device Manager

window right-click the IDE Channel listing

under which QUANTUM GoVault is shown and select

Properties

to display the appropriate

IDE Channel Properties

dialog.

Open the

Advanced Settings

tab to verify that DMA is configured

as the GoVault transfer mode as shown in

figure 42
