Troubleshooting

7.1

EZ1 Advanced XL door errors

If the EZ1 Advanced XL door is open when you start a protocol run, the following error screen will
be displayed.

ERROR: Door open!
Close the door and
retry.
ESC: Retry

Close the door and press

ESC

to continue with the protocol run.

If the door sensor indicates that the EZ1 Advanced XL door is closed but the locking mechanism is
defective, the following error screen will be displayed.

ERROR: Can not lock.
Close the door and
retry.
ESC: Retry

Press

ESC

to retry. If the error persists, contact QIAGEN Technical Services.

7.2

Other errors

If a protocol run is interrupted due to an error:



The red LED flashes



An alarm sounds



The display will show an error message

ERROR: ErrCode
Line: LineNo

ESC: Next

The first line shows the Error Code. Refer to the error code list in Section 7.3 for more information
about the error.

The second line indicates the line number of the protocol at which the error occurred.
